INTRODUCING PENNY BOYDELL, MOREE NSW I OUR 5TH & FINAL NOMINEE #LOCALLEGENDS

Introducing Penny Boydell from Moree NSW. A woman that warms the hearts of the Moree community with her quietly spoken way, generosity and outstanding contribution for the wellbeing and support of our local rural women and their families.

Born and bred in Moree, Penny’s family were early pioneers to the area, taking up holdings to the east and west back in 1837. Volunteering is Penny’s passion, continuing the family tradition of giving back to the community she loves.

Working tirelessly behind the scenes you will find Penny assisting with Meals on Wheels, Ngala House – Moree Women’s Refuge, Fairview Retirement home, The Town and Country Club and her local church. Penny Boydell might be the quintessential quiet achiever but to Moree she is a true #LocalLegend.

If Penny is to become the McGregor Gourlay #LocalLegend she would like to donate to The Moree Town and Country Club, one of the last remaining, non-government funded facilities of its kind in NSW. For the past 80 years the club has provided a much needed venue for community, education and fundraising events. The donation would assist in facilitating these events, with the installation of the Club’s disabled bathrooms.
