THERE ARE A NUMBER OF SPECIAL DISASTER GRANTS NOW AVAILABLE TO ASSIST FARMING AND COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY THE SEVERE FLOOD EVENTS OF 2022.

Special Disaster Grants

The NSW and Australian Governments have announced Special Disaster Grants of up to $75,000 for primary producers who have been impacted by severe flooding events that began on 4 August 2022 and also from 14 September 2022.

Rural Landholder Grants

Rural Landholders may also receive grants of up to $10,000 for landholders and oyster farmers who have been impacted by severe flooding events that began on 4 August 2022 and also from 14 September 2022.

Business and family support

Disaster recovery assistance is available to families and businesses in eligible NSW local government areas that have been impacted by storms and floods.

Disaster Relief Loans

Natural disaster relief loans are available to declared Local Government Areas (LGA’s). Applications for assistance must be lodged by the ‘Application close’ date outlined in Declared natural disasters.

NSW residents who have been impacted by severe storms and floods are encouraged to report damage via the Primary Industries Natural Disaster Damage Survey.

Transport Subsidy

A Natural Disaster Transport Subsidy is made available to primary producers who are affected by a declared natural disaster event. Applications for assistance must be lodged by the ‘Application close’ date outlined in Declared natural disasters.
