NSW flood disaster recovery payments now available.

Over the weekend the Commonwealth Government quietly activated the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment – which is a cash grant of $1,000 per adult and $400 per child – for the Moree Plains, Gunnedah and Narrabri local government areas, as a result of the flooding.

In terms of more expanded direct cash support for impacted primary producers, home and business owners, we are still waiting to hear news from the Commonwealth Government approving the request made by the Premier during his visit last week for Category D disaster assistance.
