Additional Grants Released for NSW East Coast Severe Weather and Tropical Cyclone Alfred affected Primary Producers

Did Cyclone Alfred cause damage or devastation to your fence lines, pastures and stock ? Expose tree roots in your macadamias and orchards? Funding is now available to help NSW primary producers recover from the east coast weather and flooding event in May.

The NSW and Australian governments are providing additional assistance to support communities impacted by the NSW East Coast severe weather event that began on 18 May 2025 (AGRN 1212), as well as Tropical Cyclone Alfred severe weather, which began on 3 March 2025 (AGRN 1198).

Funding is now available to help NSW primary producers recover from the east coast weather and flooding event in May in the form of:

Natural disaster relief grants

$25,000 Natural Disaster Relief Grants are now available in local government areas impacted by the NSW East Coast severe weather event that began on 18 May 2025 and/or Tropical Cyclone Alfred severe weather from 3 March 2025 onwards.

Rural landholder grants

$10,000 Rural Landholder Grants are available to rural landholders and aquaculture producers in local government areas declared for the NSW East Coast severe weather event, who do not qualify for the Natural Disaster Relief Grant.
