Position Available: Storeperson and Deliveries Role – Grafton

With a history of over 127 years of service, the McGregor Gourlay Agricultural Services team is at the forefront of agriculture, with an outstanding level of experience across a wide range of cropping environments, to assist our customers pioneer production into new areas across the region and maximise the potential of their cropping and livestock operations.

Based at our Grafton Branch and reporting to the Branch Manager, you will become an important member of our busy and dynamic team. You will have the exciting opportunity to work with some of the industry’s most progressive growers and producers in the region.

Key Responsibilities

– Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction through sound branch inventory management.

– To provide efficient, accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers.

– To build and maintain strong professional relationships with fellow staff, customers and key stakeholders.

– Provide a level of service for both external and internal customers that differentiates the branch from its competitors.

– General administration of warehouse and surrounds.

– General maintenance of warehouse, site and equipment.

– Assist with weekly/monthly/annual stocktakes including following up on discrepancies.

– Assist in the coordination of inventory movements into and out of the Branch, including purchasing, stock receival, SLOB stock awareness, stocking levels and on farm deliveries.

– Pick stock and wrap it accordingly to be packed for delivery.

– Provide daily information to the Branch Manager on a range of aspects critical to customer service, inventory management and achievement of Branch objectives.

– Assist the Branch Manager in achieving Branch and Company sales and expense budgets.

– Complete assigned inspections via Safety Champion.

– Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

– Assist with general day-to-day branch duties and complete tasks in a timely manner.

– Manual handling, may include up to and including 25kg.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

– Hold a current driver’s licence.

– Hold a current truck licence.

– Hold a forklift licence.

– Preferably have experience in warehouse or logistics operations.

– Preferably have knowledge or interest in agriculture.

– Demonstrate strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.

This position is well suited to someone with customer service experience looking to build a long-term career in the agricultural industry.
