The Sheep and Goat eID Tag Discount Program has commenced!

The NSW Government has announced an eID Tag Discount Program that will assist sheep and farmed goat producers transition to mandatory individual eID from 1 January 2025.

The new program will provide a discount of $0.76 each (incl GST) for 2025 NLIS-accredited white eID devices when purchased from McGregor Gourlay between 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025 (or until funds are exhausted). This includes eID tags and leg bands.

The discount can be applied on one order per PIC. Multiple orders are allowed for orders greater than 3500 devices, with pre-approval.

To take advantage of the eID tag discount program

You need to:

  • Purchase white 2025 NLIS-accredited devices (tags or leg bands) from McGregor Gourlay.
  • Select eID devices that are sheep or goat species coded (ie specific to either sheep or goats)
  • Purchase eID devices between 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025 (or until funds are exhausted)
  • Obtain pre-approval if you require more than 3500 devices under the program. Please see below for more details on what orders require pre-approval and the process.

**If you are QLD based, there is also a grant program recently opened by the QLD Government until 30 June 2025. It runs a little different in that you need to apply for the actual grant rebate yourself.
