Winning with Barenburg 2022 Country Education Scholarships.
A decision to enter Barenbrug’s Road to Pasture Success autumn campaign competition proved a great success when Bingara Branch Manager Leonie Southwell got the call to say she had won the $5000 prize draw to donate to a local charity.
Leonie pictured with Nat Brazel, Barenburg were pleased to present the $5000 prize cheque to Robyn Phillips for the Country Education Foundation, Gwydir Learning Region to go towards grant scholarships in 2022.
The Country Education Foundation (CEF) is a national not-for-profit organisation helping rural and regional youth, between the ages of 16 and 25 years, access education, training and jobs through grants, scholarships, support services and resources. The financial support provides grants from $500 to $5,000 per student, per year, to assist in purchasing textbooks and laptops for uni students, tools and equipment for apprentices and assist with fuel and relocation expenses to take up career opportunities.
Leonie was thrilled to support next year’s grants and hopes that local students who are undertaking study or apprenticeships in the new year would take the opportunity to apply for financial assistance before year end.
